The sketch was in charcoal. The background was filled in with chalk. It’s not a traditional dragon, but more like a serpent with wings. I don’t know whether that would make it technically not a dragon, since dragons are imagined creatures and there isn’t anything to define them by other than our preconceived ideas. I mostly was just doodling in class on the last few days of school, glad to get rid of a serious art project and move onto something fun. I just wanted something quick and smooth, and drawing legs would not be smooth like slicing through air. I would argue he has a belly, snakes have bellies, and he is designed based off of a snake, from the throat down to the end of his tail is his belly. " | |
